Purpose of data collection

Use of our site is usually possible without stating personal information. When using certain services offered by our site, deviating arrangements may apply which are explained separately in such cases below and which inform you in particular about type, scope and purpose of data collection, its use and the processing of personal information. Despite this, however, we only ever process personal information as far as this is necessary to provide a functionable website as well as our contents and services. If personal information is collected consequently, the purpose of this collection is the technical provision of our web presence, gathering information and for contractual purposes when providing services. Data may also be collected for marketing and advertising purposes. Your personal information is only used for the purposes stated and to the extent needed for achieving the relevant purpose.

If you apply for a job through the website, the purpose of data processing is the possible initiation of an employment relationship.

Legal basis of data collection

Personal information may only be processed if a legal basis exists for this. If we process personal information within the framework of our web presence, this is usually done subject to safeguarding the legitimate interests of the data controller according to Art. 6 Para. 1 Lit. f EU GDPR.

Safeguarding the legitimate interests corresponds to a balancing of interests and includes our interests as the company responsible for the processing of data as well as the interests of the users of our websites. We as a company would like to inform you about our company and its products and services. You as a user and potential customer, supplier, competitor, information seeker and/or applicant are interested in gaining information about us, our services and products in a technically feasible and comfortable manner. In addition to this, we offer our visitors the possibility to contact us via our website. Accordingly, processing of data is in the interest of both sides. At the same time, processing of personal information is reduced to the absolute minimum so that we come to the conclusion that safeguarding the legitimate interests is a legally sufficient basis for processing.

In the course of the application process, we use the legal basis of the contract and contract initiation (Art. 6 Para. 1 Lit. b EU GDPR), in particular § 26 FDPA - new version (Data processing for the purposes of an employment relationship). You will find further information on this in the section "Applications".

In addition to this, we also use the legal basis of consent within the framework of the application procedure (Art. 6 Para. 1 Lit. a EU GDPR). This consent is given voluntarily and serves the purpose of personnel recruitment and transfer of your data to an internal talent pool. You will find further information on this in the section "Applications". Art. 7 EU GDPR imposes conditions for this consent which include the following: You may decide freely if you want to give your consent. It has no negative consequences whatsoever if you do not provide this consent. You are also entitled to revoke the consent given at any time for the future completely or in part. The lawfulness of processing on the basis of the consent given remains unchanged until further notice. This means that despite withdrawing your consent, processing does not become illegal already in the past.

The legal basis for the consent may be used by us also within the scope of marketing activities. You may be asked to give your consent possibly by technical means linked with these websites. You will find the contents and scope of the consent in the appropriate place. For this type of consent, the requirements according to Art. 7 EU GDPR described in the previous paragraph also apply.

We at Treppenmeister use consents given in particular to forward your contact requests via the contact form to the partners of Treppenmeister.

Our website uses cookies - these are small text files saved on your computer system. Cookies cause no harm to your computer and contain no viruses. You can differentiate between so-called session cookies necessary for the operation of our websites and cookies coming from third-party providers such as Google Analytics. These enable us, for example, to measure the frequency of page requests and the generic use of our websites so that we can adapt the offers on our website accordingly.

You are given the opportunity on our website to determine the settings for cookies yourself. Click on "Change" when the cookie notice is shown while accessing the website. You can choose between "Necessary", "Comfort", "Statistics" and "Targeting". By clicking on the box, you are given information which actions are allowed and which are not, and you may determine the scope yourself.

You can also deactivate cookies in general in your web browser. The setting options are different depending on the relevant browser, usually you have the options to accept all cookies (this is normally the standard setting), to block the cookies of third-party providers or to block all cookies. We would like to make you aware of the fact that in the latter case you cannot use all the functions of our website fully. Of course, you can also delete cookies subsequently. The procedure involved depends on the browser and operating system. We would like to ask you to find out about the concrete procedure relevant for your system yourself.

Use of Google web services and Google Maps

This website uses the component "Google Maps" for the representation of map site plans operated by Messrs. Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, subsequently called "Google".

Each time when you call up the component "Google Maps", Google sets a cookie (this is a so-called "Cookie of a third-party provider") to process user settings and data when displaying the page into which the component "Google Maps" is integrated. This cookie of the third-party provider "Google" is usually not deleted when the browser is closed but expires after a certain time if you do not delete the cookie beforehand manually.

If you do not agree to the processing of your data, you have the option to disable the service offered by "Google Maps" and to prevent the transfer of data to Google in doing so. You have several options for this, i.e. you can install suitable browser extensions (such as uMatrix or Disconnect, status as of 25.04.2018) and instruct them to prohibit the transfer of data to Google. You can also deactivate the Java Script functions in your browser. However, please note that if you do so you cannot use "Google Maps" and possibly other parts of our website or only to a limited extent.

The use of "Google Maps" and the information gained through "Google Maps" is done according to the Google terms of use as well as the additional terms and conditions for "Google Maps"

Like many other websites and service providers on the internet, we use technical web services offered by Google. It can be expected that Google collects and combines the data generated for example by their cookies (such as online identifiers and IP addresses). In combination with unique identifiers and other information arriving at the Google server, Google can also create profiles of the users of these websites and extend already existing profiles.

Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense and thus "cookies" (text files stored on the computer of the users and enabling an analysis of the website access). AdSense also uses so-called web beacons (invisible graphics). These web beacons enable evaluation of information such as the visitors accessing the pages offered. The information generated by cookies and web beacons regarding use of this website (including the IP address of the users) and delivery of advertising formats are transferred to a Google server in the USA and are stored there. This information can be forwarded by Google to its contractual partners. Google, will, however, not combine your IP address with other information stored about you.

More information on data protection and cookies for advertisement by Google AdSense can be found in the privacy statement provided by Google in particular under the following links:

The legal basis for data processing is § 13 Para. 2 TMG, as from 25.05.2018 Art. 6 Para. 1 Lit. a GDPR (Consent given by the data subject). You may revoke the consent given to us by accepting the use of cookies at any time.

Users can prevent installation of cookies by Google AdSense in different ways:

a) by correspondingly setting the browser software;

b) by deactivating interest-related advertisements with Google;

c) by deactivating interest-related advertisements shown by the providers who are part of the self-regulating campaign "About Ads";

d) by permanent deactivation through a browser plugin.

The settings mentioned under b) and c) are erased if cookies are deleted in the browser settings.

Google Adwords Conversion Tracking

In order to statistically register use of our website and evaluate this use for you for the purpose of optimizing our website, we also use the Google Conversion Tracking tool. In doing so, Google Adwords sets a cookie on your computer if you have accessed our website through a Google advertisement. These cookies cease to be invalid after 30 days and are not intended for personal identification. If the user accesses certain pages of the website offered by the Adwords customer and the cookie has not elapsed yet, Google and the customer can see that the user has clicked on the advertisement and was forwarded to this page. Each Adwords customer receives a different cookie. Therefore, it is not possible to track cookies via the websites of Adwords customers. The information gathered with the support of the conversion cookies help to create conversion statistics for Adwords customers who have decided in favor of Conversion Tracking. The Adwords customers are told the overall number of users having clicked on their advertisements and were forwarded to a page provided with a Conversion Tracking tag. They do not receive any information, however, which enables them to identify users personally. If you do not want to take part in this tracking process, you can opt to decline the setting of cookies necessary for this - for example by the relevant browser setting deactivating the automatic setting of cookies in general. You can also deactivate cookies for Conversion Tracking by setting your browser so that cookies are blocked by the domain "". You can find Google's privacy notice regarding Conversion Tracking here:

Google Analytics

Furthermore, we use Google Analytics, i.e. a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google"). Google Analytics also uses cookies enabling analysis of your visits on our websites and use of our online services. The information generated by the cookie through your use of these websites and online offers is transferred to a server operated by Google in the USA and is stored there. We use Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizelp()" so that the IP addresses transferred to Google are first shortened and further processed on servers situated in Europe to exclude a direct personal reference. Google will use this information to evaluate your visit on the website, to compile reports about website activities for us and to provide further services associated with website use and internet use. Google will possibly also transfer this information to third parties if this is legally required or if third parties are processing this data in the name of Google. Google will in no event combine your IP address with other data provided by Google. You can prevent installation of the cookie for Google Analytics by setting your browser software correspondingly; we would like to make you aware of the fact that in this case, however, you may not be able to use all functions provided fully. You can veto data collection and data storage for Google Analytics any time with effect for the future by a Google browser plugin which you can download here:

Personal information of users is stored for up to 38 months. Regarding this, we also refer to the section "Purpose of data collection".

Please refer to "Purpose of data collection" to find out for which purposes we collect data.

Google Apis

On our website we use Google APIs developed by Messrs. Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (in the following called Google). These are application programming interfaces provided by Google. With the framework of its use, data such as the IP address, in particular, can be transferred to Google. You can prevent collection and forwarding of personal information (in particular of your IP address) to Google as well as processing of this information by deactivating execution of the Java Script code in your browser or by installing a tool such as 'NoScript'.

Google remarketing

We use the remarketing technology provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google"). With this technology, users having already accessed our internet pages and online services and having shown their interest in the offer are once more addressed by targeted advertising on the pages of the Google partner networks. Displaying advertisements is done by the use of cookies, i.e. small text files, stored on the computer of the user. With the help of these text files, the behavior of the users when accessing the website can be analyzed and subsequently used for specific product recommendations and interest-based advertisements.

Google Tag Manager

This website uses the Google Tag Manager. This service enables administration of website tags via an interface. The Google Tool Manager only implements tags. This means that no cookies are used and no personal information is recorded. The Google Tool Manager triggers other tags which in turn possibly record data. The Google Tool Manager, however, does not access this data. If a deactivation was carried out on domain or cookie level, this deactivation will remain in effect for all tracking tags if these are implemented together with the Google Tool Manager.

You will find more information on the Google Tool Manager under:
